Corinth was the director of the artist group Berliner Secession and is considered one of the most important representatives of German impressionism. From August 23, 1902 until its renaming it was Goßlerstraße, after the Prussian ministerial officials Gustav Konrad Heinrich von Goßler (1838-1902).
